Is it possible to get a deadline extension?

I want to ask if it will be possible for hackathon participants to get a 24-48 hour deadline extension for submission.
I faced some technical challenges this past week and would really appreciate an extension if possible. Thank you

    Unfortunately we won't be able to extend the deadline for this hackathon.

    I just hit submit, but the time ran out. Is there any way I can submit, I worked really hard on my project.
