GitLab challenge track clarification

Can you please clarify about gitlab challenge track. I understood that we have to create AI application and use google cloud services...(Ex. I created book summarize application) and hosted it on gitlab and used its features like CI/CD......or is it like creating plugin kind of things for gitlab with help of AI...

    Ideally, you'll conceptualize and create functionality that extend's GitLab's default AI capabilities. Hosting on GitLab would be the bare minimum, but using the DevOps and Security capabilties to execute the idea would be ideal. Plug-ins/extensions is a definite plus.
